Managing a Stressful Day

We've all had experiences with stressful days. It's something that can't be avoided. While we may not be able to control the events that cause a day to be stressful, we can control how we deal with it. Here are a few things you can try to help lessen the blow on those trying days:

  • Ask yourself "What's beneath my stress or feeling I am experiencing?"
  • Get up and move around. Sitting still gives your feelings time to overwhelm you.
  • Do something you love.
  • Take a few deep breaths.
  • Call a good friend.
  • Do a good deed.
  • Connect with your loved ones.
  • Sometimes, the best thing you can do at the end of a stressful day is get a goodnight's rest. Unplug, unwind, and welcome in a better day in the morning.
